Invitation to Local Health Care Providers

Invitation to Local Health Care Providers

 Please Help Educate Us!

Yes We Can Tippecanoe, a local political action and service organization, is soliciting 150-250 word statements from local health care professionals to be read at our upcoming

Health Care Educational Forum,

June 28th, 3-5pm at the Tippecanoe County Public Library in downtown Lafayette.

We hope to hear from a variety of medical specialties and perspectives.

Our question to you is: From the point of view of your area of expertise and practice, what are the most significant concerns you face in providing service? What would you like to see in health care reform?

Your statement can be signed or anonymous. Although we think signed statements are more powerful, we respect your possible need for privacy. We invite you to read your statement at our forum if you like. We also have readers available if you prefer or are unable to attend. We DO need to know your profession/specialty and a way to reach you (email or phone) if we have questions or need clarifications.

Please email statements to yeswecantippecanoe@gmail.com by Friday, June 26th.

Our June 28 educational forum will include presentations and discussion from two well-known, knowledgeable, and dynamic speakers:

  • Rob Stone, director and co-founder of Hoosiers for a Commonsense Health Plan (HCHP) and Indiana coordinator for Physicians for a National Health Program, and
  • Allison Luthe of Healthcare for America Now (HCAN).

These two speakers will undoubtedly help us to better understand the big picture on various health care options. In addition, input from local health care providers and stakeholders is crucial to a full understanding of the challenges involved in fixing our broken health care system. We are looking for input from nurses, doctors, administrators, people who work in the insurance industry, social workers, and anyone else with expert knowledge. Please consider attending and/or giving us your important input!

To learn more about our organization, contact us at yeswecantippecanoe@gmail.com.

We would be happy to answer your questions and welcome your involvement!

Saw the publicity in the paper. It was great to see such an overwhelming turnout. Wish I could have made it 21.
